KTR and Wanju-gun to jointly build hydrogen infrastructure

Together, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do and the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) constructed a testing and certification infrastructure in the Wanju hydrogen-specialized national industrial complex.

As per the agreement, KTR made the decision to construct an infrastructure for hydrogen testing and certification at the Wanju hydrogen-specialized national industrial complex, which would cost around 20 billion won.

In order to develop a testing and certification infrastructure to assist hydrogen-related firms, KTR will make a new investment of 20 billion won and deploy around 100 workers on a 33,000◡ site in the hydrogen national industrial complex in Bongdong-eup, Wanju-gun between 2027 and 2029.

Suiso raises $3 million for hydrogen generators

Suiso, a Rotherham-based startup that creates large-scale, environmentally friendly hydrogen generators, has raised $3 million.

Suiso, which was established in 2021, wants to deliver hydrogen generators the size of shipping containers so that factories, hospitals, warehouses, and hydrogen vehicle filling stations can use cleaner energy.

The technology of the business is intended to be installed directly on location, saving on distribution expenses. According to the firm, this procedure is a major obstacle to the use of hydrogen energy.

Five hydrogen-fuel cell commercial buses to operate in Ladakh in 2024

Five hydrogen-fuel cell commercial buses will operate at 11,500 feet in Ladakh, an eco-fragile Himalayan region, in May 2024. The Ladakh administration, which is aiming to make the region carbon-neutral, would receive these buses from NTPC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.

The Administrative Secretary of the Transport Department, UT Ladakh Amit Sharma chaired a high-level meeting to complete the draft MoU between NTPC Ltd. and the Transport Department, Ladakh. The UT administration is rushing to complete the Leh zero-emission hydrogen mobility project. The UT administration has begun building infrastructure in Changthang to launch the huge project smoothly.

PNGRB hosts key event on green hydrogen transmission

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) is making significant strides in the transportation of Green Hydrogen through Natural Gas transmission lines by blending it with traditional Natural Gas. With 33,000 kilometers of authorized Natural Gas transmission pipelines, of which 24,000 kilometers are operational, PNGRB views these pipelines as the primary mode for transporting Green Hydrogen. This strategic approach aims to connect regions abundant in renewable energy resources with major hydrogen consumers like Fertilizer plants, Refineries, and Heavy Industries.
