Akershus Energi and KLP have signed an agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the delivery of a total of 34 turbines to Odal Vindkraftverk, at a value of close to NOK 1 billion.
Akershus Energi and Siemens Gamesa have collaborated to find cost-effective solutions to realize the project in Nord-Odal. Siemens Gamesa will deliver 34 wind turbines of the model SG-5.0-145 which are designed with a new control system that optimizes production and is specially adapted to Odal Wind Power Plant.

Siemens Gamesa has delivered 504 turbines to 19 wind turbines around the country and has an expected turnover of almost NOK 4 billion in Norway by 2020.
Odal Vindkraftverk in Nord-Odal municipality is the first wind power project for Akershus Energi, and is planned to be completed during 2021. The power plant will be in an area of Norway where there is a power deficit, and will make an important contribution with over 500 GWh of renewable electricity. , corresponding to the electricity consumption of over 30,000 households.
The project has an expected investment framework of up to NOK 2 billion.
Akershus Energi owns 51 percent, while KLP owns 49 percent of the wind power plant.
