Anglo American lays out energy objectives for hydrogen development

Anglo American has outlined its energy goals for its hydrogen ecosystem in order to support the company’s overall decarbonization agenda.

Anglo American has built a hydrogen production, storage, and refueling complex at Mogalakwena in order to provide an ecosystem for their nuGen hydrogen haul truck, which was introduced in May.

Envusa Energy, a joint venture between the firm and EDF Renewables, was created with the goal of creating a regional renewable energy ecosystem (RREE) in South Africa.

It is anticipated that Envusa Energy will provide Anglo American with a combination of renewable energy produced on Anglo American’s properties and renewable energy delivered via the national grid.

This collaboration will serve as a model for next projects as Anglo heads down the hydrogen valley.
