Azolla Hydrogen has been accepted into the Canadian Technology Accelerator, which will represent the Canadian Hydrogen technology sector in Germany, as a high-potential, growth-stage start-up.

The government of Germany wants to make hydrogen the foundation of a low-emissions economy in a very big way. Canadian experts in hydrogen and other Carbon Capture, Use, and Storage (CCUS) technologies have a lot of opportunities because of a lot of public and private money. Corporations are looking for new technologies, and hydrogen has been chosen as the most important. Germany is the biggest economy in Europe, but ambitious plans to cut down on pollution from energy use and industrial processes are making it hard for the country to be environmentally friendly. Hydrogen is widely thought to be the country’s main source of energy in the future.

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program is a six-month program that gives each participant a unique package of help. It includes a tour of the local industry and culture, marketing campaign support sessions, virtual pitching and B2B matchmaking, and a company booth at the H2Expo trade show in Hanover, Germany.

“We are honoured to have been selected to represent the future of the Canadian hydrogen technology industry in Germany. We look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the German markets needs and wants so we can deliver innovative solutions. The opportunity to present our transformative hydrogen production technology in this promising growth market while identifying and informing new customers provides Azolla the opportunity to kickstart our exports to Germany” states Jared Sayers, Azolla’s President and CEO.

To start the program, the CTA is going to hold an online event on February 23, 2022, to get things going. The event will feature nine Canadian hydrogen start-ups who have been accepted into the program, as well as Azolla Hydrogen. It will focus on hydrogen production, infrastructure, and distribution. Three well-known speakers will lead the event through talks about how hydrogen will help Canadian industry become more environmentally friendly, how international start-ups can help the hydrogen ecosystem, and how the hydrogen economy is becoming more international.

“Azolla Hydrogen is excited to explore the applications these innovative possibilities are bringing to the hydrogen industry, and we welcome you to join this event and see how it can impact your future” comments Jared Sayers. Following the event, personnel from each company will be available for 1:1 video chats to answer your questions and continue the discussion.
