Baker Hughes and Primus Line have agreed to collaborate on non-metallic pipe applications to rehabilitate and repurpose existing pressure pipelines.
This will provide our combined customer base with more cost-effective pipeline repair and replacement options, as well as the repurposing of existing pipeline networks for hydrogen and CO2 transportation.
Baker Hughes and Primus Line will work on commercial models and collaborative customer solutions to support non-metallic pipeline growth in the pipeline integrity management sector under the terms of the partnership. The companies will offer unmatched turnkey solutions for pressure pipeline rehabilitation and repurposing projects in the oil and gas and industrial sectors by combining Baker Hughes’ scale and extensive non-metallic pipe portfolio with Primus Line’s deep domain expertise and existing customer base in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation.
Pipeline rehabilitation is a method of reducing the requirement for full excavation, trenching, and permitting by pulling non-metallic composite tubing through existing pipeline infrastructure. By lowering project risks, eliminating community disturbances, and allowing for the transportation of lower-carbon fuels, this solution will enable additional pipeline projects to come forward.
