Bandırma Base will produce Turkey’s first Hydrogen Valley’s green hydrogen.
The corporation stated that the European Union (EU) project, coordinated by the South Marmara Development Agency and including 16 local and foreign players, had a budget of 36.8 million Euros.
Enerjisa Production Bandırma Energy Base will produce 500 tons of green hydrogen yearly for the “South Marmara Hydrogen Coast Valley Project,” Turkey’s first Hydrogen Valley.
The European Commission will give the five-year initiative 8 million euros.
The South Marmara Hydrogen Coast Platform will take its first real steps with the project. The research will also produce green hydrogen derivatives. The initiative also aims to generate hydrogen derivatives like methanol and ammonia, which Turkey needs, using green methods and its own resources, and to conduct feasibility studies.
The Sodium Boron Hydride Facility will be built in Balıkesir to help boron, which possesses 73 percent of the world’s reserves, enter the energy sector and play a major role in Turkey’s hydrogen economy.
Sabancı University, Enerjisa Enerji Üretim AŞ, Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AŞ, Şişecam, ETİ Maden, Turkish-German University, Linde Gaz A.Ş, Bandırma On Yedi Eylül University, Hydrogen Peroxide AŞ., Universite Mohammed Vi Polytechnique, Alma Mater Studiorum, Software AG (SAG), PwC Certified Public Accountancy Inc., TENMAK, and TUBITAK are project partners.
