Burckhardt Compression in Shenyang, China, is manufacturing the Diaphragm Compressor, which will be sent to Switzerland as a container-mounted compression unit.

The compressor system is optimized for hydrogen mobility applications and is capable of discharging hydrogen at high pressure and purity, which is ideal for fuel cells.

The Swiss company H2 Energy’s new 2MW green hydrogen generation plant is a significant step toward the development of green hydrogen infrastructure in Switzerland. Burckhardt Compression’s Diaphragm Compressor system will be used to fill hydrogen processed in a PEM electrolyzer into Hydrospider swap trailers, 450 bar hydrogen vessels that will supply hydrogen fuelling stations throughout Switzerland. Heavy-duty vehicles, such as the first 46 Hyundai trucks presently running in Switzerland, are the primary end users of the hydrogen produced.

H2 Energy is a rapidly developing Swiss firm that is collaborating with a variety of partners to achieve its objective of lowering CO2 emissions through the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel. H2 Energy is developing initiatives in Switzerland and around Europe to expand the generation and delivery of green hydrogen.
