The Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission Commercial Vehicles (EnergIIZE) Hydrogen funding lane is set to open for applications from April 17 to May 1, 2024.
This initiative, funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and administered by CALSTART, aims to boost the adoption of hydrogen fueling infrastructure in the state.
The Hydrogen funding lane offers substantial incentives, covering up to 50 percent of eligible equipment and software costs for standard projects, with a maximum of $4 million per project for those meeting certain equity criteria. Eligible equipment includes dispensers, compressors, storage, and more, all crucial for the deployment of medium- and heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Applicants must demonstrate compliance with industry standards and project specifications to qualify for funding. The application process, including a Sandbox test application portal and a How to Apply workshop, aims to assist potential applicants in navigating the process effectively.
