Chariot is teaming up with Total Eren of France to advance the Nour green hydrogen project in Mauritania.
An agreement for a 50/50 joint venture with a renewable energy expert based in Paris has been reached, and detailed feasibility studies for developing the Nour project will soon get underway.
As a group, they might examine additional prospects in the green hydrogen sector in other African nations. The cooperation will gain from Total Eren’s specialized knowledge in solar, wind, hybrid, and green hydrogen projects worldwide, and Chariot has stated that it will “co-lead” on project development and permitting, local content, and stakeholder involvement.
From this month forward, energy behemoth TotalEnergies will own 23% of Total Eren and will have the option to purchase the entire renewables expert.
