The Chemours Company participates in a fundraising campaign for Versogen, a leader in the development of anion exchange membrane (AEM) technology for use in hydrogen production based in Wilmington, Delaware.

Versogen’s AEM technology, developed by University of Delaware professor Yushan Yan, provides a reliable and cost-effective way to produce green hydrogen at scale.

Green hydrogen is the most promising alternative fuel for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in transportation and other fossil-fuel-dependent industries. Large amounts of green hydrogen can be produced with zero emissions when produced using water electrolysis and renewable energy. This procedure is necessary for the clean energy transition and the achievement of global decarbonization targets.

The company collaborates across the value chain to deliver advanced solutions that solve some of customers’ and partners’ biggest challenges as part of Chemours’ commitment to innovative and responsible chemistry that enables the sustainable products of the future. Chemours is also a member of the Hydrogen Council’s steering committee and has joined Hydrogen Europe and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance to help realize hydrogen’s role in the global energy transition.
