In order to increase its presence in the Chinese hydrogen market, EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies has announced that it will invest “mid-single-digit million euros” at its location in Suzhou, China. Additionally, it has created a Chinese subsidiary.

EKPO and the regional administration, SND, have signed a contract outlining the company’s participation in the hydrogen ecosystem.

The company’s objectives in China are strengthened by the investment in manufacturing capacity, which builds on the construction of a fuel cell test bench at the Suzhou location earlier this year (2022).

China is a crucial future market for EKPO, according to Dr. Gernot Stellberger, Managing Director Responsible for Strategic Issues at the company. In the largest automotive market in the world, our industry-leading stack technology delivers high-performance solutions and significantly advances sustainable mobility.
