Clearway Energy Group has completed the construction and brought online Mesquite Star, a 419 MW wind farm in Fisher County, Texas.
Mesquite Star is contracted with many corporate and institutional clients, including Ecolab, Lowe’s, Intuit, and Brown University, in an aggregation of long term power agreements. Blattner Energy built the project with wind turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as well as a tax equity investment from BHE Renewables.

Mesquite Star, located in West Texas, created over 300 jobs during construction, over a dozen ongoing jobs and generated millions of dollars in local investment.
Wind energy is a $46.5 billion industry in the Texas, raising $237 million in annual statewide and local taxes, and creating over 25,000 jobs.
