Cleve Hill Solar Park, a joint venture project between Hive Energy and Wirsol Energy, has been granted development consent from the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Alok Sharma.
The Secretary of State has also granted consent for the battery installation on the site.

This is a project that will generate up to 350MW of clean renewable electricity to power over 91,000 homes, reduce the UK’s dependence on fossil fuels and lower CO2 emissions by 68,000 tonnes a year.”

Arcus supported the Cleve Hill developers through planning and DCO co-ordination, full EIA submission, landscape, ecology and flood risk assessments and continued project management throughout the examination phase.
Cleve Hill Solar Park will comprise of an array of solar photo-voltaic modules, energy storage and associated development infrastructure.
The proposed site is located one mile northeast of Faversham, 3 miles west of Whitstable and situated closest to the village of Graveney.
Due to the capacity of the solar park exceeding 50 megawatts (MW), the project is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP).
