Loop Energy’s channel partner Aliant Battery has sold an S300 (30 kW) series fuel cell system to Hylife Innovations, a Dutch producer of sustainable power solutions for industry and buildings.
Loop’s fuel cell technology will be integrated into Hylife’s Innovahub, a residential district powering system in the Netherlands that uses green hydrogen to power residential structures.
Loop Energy’s channel collaboration with Aliant Battery, an Italian lithium battery company, resulted in the transaction. Hylife’s solution promises to create power for home applications by combining battery technology and a hydrogen fuel cell system. Aliant Battery and Loop Energy will be in charge of developing the two technologies into a high-efficiency hydrogen-electric generator. In May 2021, Aliant Battery was admitted to Loop Energy’s Total Customer Care program as a qualified ecosystem partner.
Hylife’s technologies strive to make energy generation and storage more sustainable and intelligently controlled, with an emphasis on decreasing emissions and mitigating climate change. The corporation has the support of the Dutch government, which has pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 49% by 2030. Hydrogen is expected to play a key part in the Netherlands’ energy revolution, with output from the Groningen gas field due to being limited in 2022 and eventually shut off in 2026.
“Our system is designed to efficiently capture localized energy generation and storage, improving energy security and grid usage across Europe,” stated Jean-Paul Scheurleer, founder of Hylife. “We can construct a green and sustainable power solution to offer electricity and heat energy to people’s homes by merging Aliant Battery’s and Loop Energy’s innovative technology into Innovahub.”
“We are excited to promote new initiatives like Hylife’s Innovahub, which have the potential to alter the way residential communities are powered in Europe,” said George Rubin, Loop Energy’s Chief Commercial Officer. “It’s been a delight to work with Aliant Battery once again to create a cost-effective, zero-emissions power solution.”
In December 2021, Loop Energy’s relationship with Aliant Battery culminated in the sale of an S300 fuel cell system to emfeld Gmbh for the development of generators for film sets. This latest transaction reflects Loop Energy’s channel partner partnerships’ sustained success.
From May 9 to 11, Loop Energy and Hylife will be exhibiting at the 2022 World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Rotterdam. In addition to presenting Loop Energy’s fuel cell solutions, the collaborative marketing campaign will try to educate delegates on how hydrogen fuel cells and sustainable energy can power buildings and industrial equipment.
