A truck was unveiled at the Stade airfield; the maker claims it doesn’t emit any climate-harming gases. The electric back axle drive is to blame for this. It is propelled by a fuel cell that is housed beneath the driver’s cab and obtains its hydrogen fuel from a tank.
The 760 horsepower car has a 500 km range. The conversion kit was created by the Hamburg business Clean Logistics. The technology is therefore compatible with “very much any series vehicle.” More than half a million euros are spent on it, with federal funding covering the majority of those expenditures. In order to meet Germany’s 2030 climate protection targets, it is important to have emission-free trucks on the road as soon as possible.
