Badr Abdel Ati, Egypt’s ambassador to the EU and Belgium, has examined ways to increase collaboration with the EU in the areas of renewable, conventional, and clean energy as well as green hydrogen.
The diplomat met with a number of important figures from the EU and Belgian energy businesses, including Tinne Van der Straeten, the country’s energy minister, and EU Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson.
The expansion of ports and the safeguarding of Egyptian beaches were also topics of conversation between the two parties.
Simson praised Cairo’s outstanding organization of the most recent climate change summit and praised their productive energy collaboration (COP27).
Regarding Egypt’s enormous potential and natural resources, Van der Straeten complimented the strong momentum of bilateral relations between Egypt and Belgium.
