For assistance in navigating the green hydrogen offtake talks around the Bristol Springs Project in Western Australia, Frontier Energy has chosen Equity Lifting Solutions.

The Bristol Springs Project’s Stage One green hydrogen hub, which is expected to produce 4.4 million kilograms of the clean energy source annually, will be the focal point of conversations about offtake. With several of its top targets, particularly individuals working in the larger energy sector, Frontier has already begun negotiations.

The Bristol Springs Project is around 300 meters away from the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP), which offers a potential route for green hydrogen offtake. Western Australia’s most important gas transmission facility, the DBNGP, supplies natural gas to the state’s metropolitan and rural areas. The pipeline travels 170 kilometers south of Perth to Bunbury from Woodside’s Karratha Gas Plant in the state’s northwest.

The Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), which owns the pipelines, released a study in January with the goal of determining a workable method for incorporating hydrogen into the DBNGP. Finding parts of the pipeline that are already capable of instant hydrogen mixing was a significant consequence of the study.

According to the study’s findings, a pipeline section can now be declared appropriate for usage with hydrogen/natural gas mixtures in a straightforward manner. Mainline South, which runs from Kwinana to Bunbury, was likewise found to be a superb prospect for hydrogen mixing.

The projected hydrogen plant at the Bristol Springs Project is around 300 meters from a branching point connecting to this portion of the pipeline.
