ENERCON has signed a framework agreement for 190 MW with the Italian energy group ERG for five projects in Italy and Great Britain.

As part of the agreement, ENERCON will deliver a total of 46 E-138 EP3 E2 (4.2 MW) and E-115 EP3 E3 (4.2 MW) turbines to ERG’s subsidiary ERG Power Generation SpA over the next three years. The scope of delivery also includes transport, assembly, commissioning and servicing of the systems during the first operating phase.

In an internal tendering process carried out by ERG, ENERCON asserted itself as a successful supplier. The 46 turbines are planned for four repowering projects in Italy and one new construction project in Great Britain. The wind turbines are to be put into operation between 2022 and 2024 and handed over to the customer.

“We are very pleased that we have taken another big step forward with our well-known customer ERG SpA and that we have been able to conclude a framework agreement with them that opens up further opportunities. ERG is the market leader in onshore wind in Italy, very active in the national repowering business and is also present in several European countries. We hope to be able to further expand our cooperation with ERG in the coming years – also in other regions of Europe.”

Stefan Lütkemeyer, ENERCON CSO.

“On average, up to 700 MW of new onshore power is installed in Italy every year. Our Italian team from sales, project management and logistics is working very hard to ensure that we participate in this expansion and increase our market share in the coming years.”
