French La Chapelle-Glain wind farm in the Pays de la Loire region, developed and built by P&T Technologie, a subsidiary of Energiequelle, has been successfully commissioned.
The wind farm comprises five Enercon type E-92 turbines with a combined capacity of 11.75 MW and will in the future supply approximately 7,600 households.
In September 2016, P&T Technology secured the building permit for the project, but initially had to face comprehensive legal action. Construction started in September 2019 following a promising conclusion. The last turbine was built in June of this year, amid the coronavirus crisis and a four-week construction halt.
“In compliance with health regulations and the new safety requirements, the installation of the wind farm was completed on time in September.”
Christophe Biger, construction manager at P&T Technologie.
A fixed feed-in tariff for a period of 20 years is the remuneration scheme. Encavis Infrastructure Fund II, which is advised by Encavis Asset Management, has purchased the park. Encavis Asset Management provides institutional investors with customized portfolios of clean energy and investment strategies.
With the commissioning of the La Chapelle-Glain wind farm, the operational management portfolio of P&T Technologie is expanding to 23 wind farms with a cumulative capacity of 230 MW. More than 750 turbines with an output of over 1,400 MW have been installed by the Energiequelle Group in total. A further 73 MW is to be added in France alone in the coming years, including a PV plant.
