ENGIE Australia & New Zealand has purchased the Hills of Gold wind farm development near Nundle, New South Wales.

The project, which is progressing through the planning process, will have a capacity of up to 420MW when completed.

ENGIE ANZ will be responsible for developing and operating the $750 million facility, after completing the acquisition of project entity, Wind Energy Partners.

The wind farm will consist of up to 70 wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of up to 6MW per unit.

Hills of Gold Community Enhancement Fund will be established, with a commitment of $2,500 per turbine per year installed and operating, expected over a period of at least 25 years.
