Everfuel and Hy24 have announced the formation of a joint venture to develop hydrogen infrastructure in the Nordic region. The joint venture has secured €200 million in funding to finance the development of electrolyzer capacity in the Nordics, with a particular focus on serving the EU market.

“We can now make green hydrogen commercially available through the development of strategically located hydrogen production facilities,” said Jacob Krogsgaard, CEO of Everfuel. “This joint venture is a major step forward in our mission to accelerate the green transition.”

Hy24 is a leading investor in renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The company has a strong track record of success in developing and financing renewable energy projects, and it is well-positioned to help Everfuel achieve its goals.

The joint venture plans to develop a network of hydrogen production facilities in the Nordic region. The facilities will be used to produce green hydrogen, which is produced using renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. Green hydrogen can be used to decarbonize a wide range of sectors, including transportation, industry, and power generation.

The joint venture’s investment is a significant vote of confidence in the future of hydrogen. It is a clear sign that investors are seeing hydrogen as a key part of the solution to climate change.
