Everfuel A/S has secured the building permit and selected CJ A/S as the contractor for the HySynergy Phase I electrolyzer in Fredericia, Denmark.
HySynergy’s development will enable large-scale synthesis and storage of green hydrogen, hence lowering Europe’s CO2-emissions. The facility will have a daily production capacity of around 8 tons of green hydrogen produced from renewable energy and a storage capacity of 10 tons.
Everfuel is in charge of the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) work, which includes the hydrogen storage and distribution facilities. HySynergy’s Phase I is scheduled to begin operations in mid-2022 and will be the largest electrolyzer in Europe at that time.
