Dutch Evides Waterbedrijf has completed and connected new floating solar park in Kralingen, in the vicinity of Rotterdam.
According to the company, the solar park is able to generate around 9,500 kWh of renewable energy during a sunny day. The solar park will be officially opened at the beginning of July.
The new 1,62MW solar park, partly located on land and partly floating on the reservoir, consists of total of 4,787 PV modules.
It is expected to generate approximately 1,7 million kWh of solar energy annually, equivalent to consumption of 650 households.
This project, along with other floating solar plants, is a part of the company’s aim is to be energy neutral and climate neutral by 2025.
Evides is collaborating with Floating Solar for the Kralingen project.
