Hy Stor Energy is the first firm on the continent to commit to the manufacturing of the fuel.
Hy Stor Energy LP is the first North American company to commit to a worldwide standard for green hydrogen. According to a recent release, the corporation has also committed to producing this gasoline using 100 percent or almost 100 percent renewable energy.
In order to fulfill this pledge, the corporation partnered with the Green Hydrogen Organisation (GH2).
Hy Stor Energy is the first pledge member in North America to advocate for the GH2 Green Hydrogen Standard as a result of this relationship. The actual standard is the first of its kind in the world. It was created by GH2, which debuted it at the Green Hydrogen Global Assembly & Exhibition in Barcelona in May of this year.
GH2 Green Hydrogen-labeled projects will be eligible to receive and trade GH2 certificates of origin for renewable H2 and its byproducts, such as renewable ammonia.
Following the recent passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) by the US Senate, Hy Stor announced its commitment to invest an additional $369 billion on energy security and climate action over the next decade.
The company’s first hub, located in Mississippi, will be dedicated to the production and storage of clean H2 for delivery to businesses, industrial, transportation, and utility sectors throughout the state, as well as surrounding states and the entire Eastern United States.
In addition to announcing its commitment to the green hydrogen standard, Hy Stor also announced a cooperation with the Youth for Green Hydrogen movement and other groups whose mission is to foster an action-based and constructive route forward through education and activism.
