BayoTech to operate hydrogen hubs from Albuquerque HQ

BayoTech intends to operate and monitor dozens of hydrogen hubs across the country from a single, high-tech control room at its headquarters in Albuquerque.

The business, which is selling the world’s first small mobile hydrogen generators, plans to build up to 100 hydrogen hubs across the country by 2027 to provide clients in adjacent areas local, on-site production, fueling, and distribution services.

The operating data from BayoTech’s factories will be continuously shown on control room screens, enabling the company’s team of control professionals to swap between the hubs being watched as necessary. It incorporates 24-hour monitoring to keep an eye on business activities at all levels and monitor maintenance problems for either short-term or long-term maintenance.


Hyundai Xcient hydrogen-powered truck achieves more than 5 million km in Switzerland

The XCIENT Fuel Cell from Hyundai Motor Company has traveled more than 5 million kilometers in Switzerland.

It is the only instance when a mass-produced large-scale hydrogen-powered vehicle has exceeded the cumulative mileage of 5 million km, and it was accomplished two years after the Xcient hydrogen-powered truck began operating on Swiss highways in October 2020.

The Hyundai Motor Company’s Xcient Hydrogen Electric Truck is the first hydrogen electric truck to be mass-produced in the world, and from 2020 until the present, 23 Swiss enterprises have purchased 47 of the vehicles.

By only using green hydrogen, which has been created without carbon dioxide emissions from its first operation as a fuel, the Xcient Hydrogen Electric Truck, debuted in Switzerland, has been helping to establish an eco-friendly hydrogen value chain in Europe.


South Korea invests in national strategic technology including hydrogen

Yoon Seok-yeol, the president of South Korea, stressed on that he intends to spend more than 25 trillion won over the course of five years on research and development in the field of national strategic technology.

The first plenary meeting of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council was presided over by President Yoon. The mid- to long-term course of science and technology policy is established by the Science and Technology Advisory Council, which functions as a control tower.

At the summit, 12 significant “national strategic technologies” that would support future economic security and growth were unveiled, along with measures to support them. Semiconductor/display, secondary battery, high-tech mobility, next-generation nuclear power, high-tech biotechnology, aerospace/marine, hydrogen, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, next-generation communication, high-tech robot/manufacturing, quantum, etc. are among the 12 national strategic technologies that the government has identified.


Van Kessel to use trailers for distribution of hydrogen to filling stations

The Van Kessel Group is deploying hydrogen trailers to distribute hydrogen to its filling stations.

The trailers will be used by Van Kessel to distribute hydrogen to both its own filling stations and those owned by other parties. The trailers are made up of 20-foot-long containers that house 300 bar-pressured lightweight composite cylinders for storing hydrogen. 400 kg of hydrogen can be transported in each trailer. Wystrach GmbH, a company that specializes in hydrogen storage and distribution systems, designed and constructed the trailers.

Five trailers in total have been ordered, and all will be delivered between the third and first quarters of 2022.


MITECO gives out $5M for green hydrogen in Puerto Real

The development of a green hydrogen production facility in Puerto Real has been chosen as a project by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), which has awarded it a grant of 5,3 million euros.

A PEM (ion exchange membrane) type hydrolysis process will be used by the beneficiary company, “Implantaciones de Suministros Energéticos SL,” to produce 15 direct employment and invest a total of 9,006,127.00 euros (5.3 million euros in subsidies).

One of the 82 pertinent projects in the MOVES Singular Projects II Program, which is administered by the IDEA (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving) and works in tandem with the MOVES Program to promote effective and sustainable mobility, is the one in Puerto Real. Projects that are unique or related to experimental or innovative advancements are its special target audience.


Hyundai Motor Company opens mobile hydrogen charging station

For the first time in Korea, Hyundai Motor Company is running a mobile hydrogen refueling station.

At the mobile hydrogen charging station operating site in Junggok-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Hyundai Motor performed an opening ceremony for the “Mobile Hydrogen Charging Station H Gwangjin Moving Station.”

The project, which will be run this time, was put forth by federal, state, and municipal governments, as well as private businesses, to increase consumer convenience. Hyundai Motor is specifically responsible for planning, investing in, and designing a mobile hydrogen charging station, while Hyundai Glovis is in charge of supplying hydrogen and running the charging station.

Hyundai Rotem is in charge of producing and overseeing the operation of hydrogen-powered automobiles. A location for a charging station is provided by Hyundai Oilbank. The responsibility for assessing the security of hydrogen refueling stations falls to Korea Gas Safety Corporation.
