Dovetail to convert 10 aircrafts to hydrogen
Air Nostrum, a Spanish airline, has awarded Dovetail Electric Aviation a contract to convert ten of its aircraft to run on its hydrogen fuel cell, battery electric powertrain.
The airline, which is among the investors in the company that develops electric propulsion technology, placed an order, and the Rose Bay, Sydney-based company confirmed it on social media.
Dovetail said: “Extremely relevant announcement today for Dovetail Electric Aviation at the Dubai Airshow, with our investor and now customer, Air Nostrum, committing to our project with an order for 10 conversions.
Gensol gets EPC deal for green hydrogen-based mobility station in Kargil
An engineering, procurement, and commissioning (EPC) contract for the establishment of a green hydrogen-based mobility station pilot project in Kargil, Ladakh, has been awarded to Gensol Engineering by NHPC.
Two hydrogen fuel cell buses in the area are to be powered by this initiative.
This project was won by Gensol in collaboration with Matrix Gas and Renewables, a developer of hydrogen infrastructure and natural gas aggregator that will manage the EPC of dual electrolyzers.
Two units, each with a capacity of 30 Nm3/hour, must be installed as part of the project. At least 40 kg of hydrogen are expected to be produced each day, guaranteeing a 99.97% purity level.

EODev secures €46M fundraising round for hydrogen electric generators
Known for its energy-independent hydrogen laboratory ship, EODev, a division of Saint-Malo-based Energy Observer, has closed one of the largest fundraising rounds of the year. The startup business revealed on Wednesday, November 15, that it has secured a €46 million fundraising round that will help it advance the commercial development of its hydrogen electric generators, which are an environmentally friendly substitute for conventional diesel generators. There are several applications, including energy delivery at sea, events, building, maintenance, and construction.
East Coast Hydrogen (ECH2) project set out network plan
The goal of ECH2, a joint venture between transmission company National Gas and gas network operators Cadent and Northern Gas Networks, is to provide a substantial hydrogen infrastructure in Britain’s East Coast region, serving as a fundamental component of a larger countrywide hydrogen economy.
With its concentrated industrial energy demand, significant gas storage, and offshore wind power connections, the East Coast region—which stretches from Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham in the north to Northampton in the south and includes the Teesside and Humber industrial clusters—is thought to be an obvious location to produce low carbon hydrogen. As a result, the consortium members state that this region has the potential to enable widespread decarbonization benefits through fuel switching from fossil fuels. The collaboration has estimated that over 63TWh of annual hydrogen consumption for power and transportation, as well as up to 83TWh of annual hydrogen production, might materialize during the next 15 years.
