FNM’s tender for hydrogen to power H2iseO trains failed

The H2iseO project, which is believed to entail the building of a railway hydrogen valley in Valcamonica, put out a tender for the supply of hydrogen to power its trains. However, the FNM group’s bidding was unsuccessful.

The process, which was made public at the end of the previous year, was to establish a “Framework Agreement for the supply of fuel cell grade hydrogen for rail and road traction,” which would last for six years and have a total estimated value of about thirty million euros. It also involved assigning the first Application Contract, which was the only one that was initially guaranteed, for the supply of renewable railway hydrogen for a quantity equal to 87,429.00 kg for the second and third quarters of 2025, with Iseo as the place of delivery.
