Thiozen Revolutionizes Hydrogen Production with NSF Grant

Thiozen, a trailblazing company in the energy industry, has recently secured a significant grant of $1.18 million from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). This funding is set to propel the commercialization of Thiozen’s groundbreaking technology, marking a pivotal moment in clean hydrogen production. With a focus on transforming traditional methods, Thiozen introduces a revolutionary approach by extracting hydrogen from “sour gas” waste streams.

The NSF grants, facilitated through America’s Seed Fund under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, will support Thiozen in further developing and refining its patented chemical process. This funding comes on the heels of successful pilot projects in the Permian Basin, where Thiozen demonstrated the efficacy of its technology in de-souring associated gas.
