Fives assists Holcim with hydrogen tests

Fives is assisting Holcim with the decarbonization of its production processes and energy transition.

At the La Malle location in France, Fives and Holcim conducted hydrogen tests that, according to Fives, allowed for the achievement of a hydrogen substitution rate of more than 50%—a result never before seen in the cement business. Furthermore, the project has raised the rate of alternative fuel consumption dramatically while keeping cement production at the same level of quality.
