FuelPositive Files Patent for Green Aqueous Ammonia Production Module

FuelPositive Corporation has filed a provisional patent for its green aqueous ammonia production systems, FP300A and FP1500A. These inventions can potentially transform the agricultural industry, providing farmers with a cost-effective and greener method to produce fertilizer.

FuelPositive aims to revolutionize fertilizer production by offering farmers a method to produce aqueous ammonia of adjustable nitrogen concentration from their own farms. This could drastically reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional ammonia production methods.

Ammonia is a critical component in various fertilizers. However, it often poses safety and transportation challenges due to its highly reactive nature. FuelPositive’s module produces green aqueous ammonia on-site and adjusts the concentration, enabling farmers to customize their fertilizers as needed.

Current ammonia production requires large facilities that generate significant quantities of the solution. This method is dependent on substantial water supplies and energy inputs and often uses fossil fuels. FuelPositive’s module offers a flexible and efficient alternative, reducing dependencies and environmental impact.

Adding the new add-on module expands FuelPositive’s reach, empowers farmers to transition towards greener fertilizer solutions, and transforms their ontology-based system to support the production of green aqueous ammonia fertilizer.

The add-on module offers dual functionality—producing green anhydrous and aqueous ammonia fertilizers. It allows farmers to select their green aqueous ammonia concentrations from 5% to 30% and customizes fertilizer pH balance. Furthermore, the FP300A and FP1500A modules use the same heating and cooling systems as their base modules, ensuring an efficient process with simplified storage and handling.

FuelPositive anticipates having the first green aqueous ammonia module pilot ready come fall. With their containerized green anhydrous ammonia system and new aqueous ammonia module, they hope to transform the fertilizer industry into a more sustainable sector.

Moreover, FuelPositive’s team is working diligently towards the delivery of the world’s first containerized green anhydrous ammonia system in Manitoba. They are committed to their farmer-partners and are prepping for a smooth, safe, and successful delivery of their FP300 system.

They are also collaborating with local stakeholders for the necessary electrical upgrades to support their transition to the FP1500 system. FuelPositive is confident that with their team and partners’ collective efforts, more farmers will be using their green ammonia solution soon.
