GE Renewable Energy has been awarded a contract by Vietnam Join-Stock Construction Electricity Corporation to supply a total of eight of GE’s 3.8-137 MW wind turbines to support the construction of the Thuan Nhien Phong wind farm in Binh Thuan province, in Vietnam’s South-Central Coastal area.

The deal also includes a 10-year full-service O&M arrangement for the wind farm’s operation and maintenance. The wind farm will be powered by eight GE 3.8 MW platforms with 137-meter-rotor wind turbines and customized hub heights of 131.4 meter towers that are well matched to the wind conditions in Binh Thuan province.
