The German Federal Network Agency has issued a tender titled “Tief- und Rohrbauleistungen für den Bau der Gashochdruckleitungen FGL 102 und FGL 211” on November 27, 2024.

Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals by the deadline on December 17, 2024. This tender is crucial for advancing Germany’s hydrogen infrastructure, representing a significant step toward integrating hydrogen as a key energy source.

The primary objective of the tender is the construction of high-pressure gas pipelines, identified as FGL 102 and FGL 211. These pipelines are intended to support the transportation of hydrogen, facilitating its distribution across various regions in Germany. The work includes not only the laying of pipelines but also associated infrastructure development for highways, roads, airfields, and railways.

The construction of these pipelines is a pivotal development in bolstering Germany’s hydrogen supply chain. By improving infrastructure, the project aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of hydrogen distribution. This is expected to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy sources, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and supporting the country’s climate goals.
