Goldwind has secured a new contract to supply 20 units of GW 121-2.5MW high temperature model wind turbines for the ACTII project.

The project is located in Pakistan’s Jhimpir Province of Sindh, where it is well-known as the “wind corridor” with around 1GW installed wind capacity.

This is the second time Goldwind and the established local wind project developer ACT Wind have partnered. The company’s first project – 30MW ACT wind power project has also employed Goldwind’s technology and well operated for around 4 years.

Goldwind has developed customized environmental adaptability solutions to suit the market and customers well for the specific hot temperature and sandy climate in Pakistan, ensuring excellent efficiency and high-level availability of the wind turbine properties of the project owner.

Following the secured order of the Gul Ahmed II wind power project and the ACTII project, Goldwind has achieved the contract signing milestone for Artistic II wind power project.

In the coming years, it is expected to see 150MW of new installation of Goldwind turbines in Pakistan and the total installation of Goldwind in the country will reach 477MW.
