Deutsche Bahn plans to replace all of its 1,3000 diesel locomotives with hydrogen-powered trains by 2050.

This is the goal of the H2goesRail project, which aims to pioneer clean transportation.

Green Hydrogen Systems has confirmed that it will supply electrolysis equipment to H2goesRail. The Siemens train will be fueled with hydrogen using a GHS HyProvide A90 electrolyser with a 0.5MW output.

Once the electrolyser site is completed in 2024, a green hydrogen production capacity of approximately 71,000 kilograms per year is expected.
