Grexel, a subsidiary of EEX Group, has been selected by the Finnish TSO Gasgrid to provide combined hydrogen and biogas registry services in Finland via their proprietary platform G-REX.
Guarantees of Origin for electricity are an important tool for end-users to receive reliable information about the origin of their energy while also channeling additional funding for the energy transition. Grexel will play an important role in expanding Origin tracking and markets for all energy carriers across the European Union through these new registries.
Markus Klimscheffskij, CEO of Grexel, comments: “We at Grexel are glad to continue our service to Gasgrid Finland and congratulate them on their new position of national issuing body of Gas and Hydrogen GOs. Finland is one of the leading EU countries in implementing the EU Renewable directive recast article 19 on GOs for all energy carriers. It is exciting to get to implement our new G-REX registry platform with leading actors like Gasgrid Finland. We are thrilled to further support the development of the markets for clean gases and hydrogen.”
G-REX, a solution designed by Grexel and integrating its 20-year expertise in providing registry services, will provide registry services for hydrogen and biogas. In addition to seamlessly handling complex regulatory requirements, the platform is designed to meet customers’ demand for efficient and user-friendly solutions.
