H2 Global Energy, based in Dubai, has completed initial studies for a new project in Morocco focusing on green hydrogen and ammonia.

This project is set in Morocco’s southern region with the goal of producing one million tonnes of green ammonia each year. The production process will take advantage of Morocco’s plentiful solar and wind resources to create green hydrogen, which will subsequently be transformed into green ammonia.

This endeavor is part of wider efforts to reduce carbon emissions in sectors like agriculture, transportation, and energy storage.

H2 Global Energy has advanced beyond the initial studies by working on securing financing and finalizing the engineering designs needed for the project. Recently, representatives from the company have met with Moroccan government officials in Rabat. These discussions have centered on the regulatory framework, potential investments, and necessary collaboration to push the project forward.
