Hanwha Ocean, along with Amogy, recognized for scalable ammonia-to-power solutions, and Hanwha Aerospace, noted for durable and efficient hydrogen fuel cell systems, are collaborating to enhance zero-emission efforts in maritime industries.
Hanwha Ocean will purchase the ammonia-to-electrical-power system from Amogy, which also includes a hydrogen fuel cell system by Hanwha Aerospace to incorporate the technology into their maritime operations. The partnership commits to innovation, addressing the industry’s need for reduced carbon emissions.
Industry watchers view the collaboration as an important stride towards achieving maritime industry’s sustainable goals. Ammonia as a zero-emission fuel holds the potential to notably reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thereby influencing other sectors to adopt sustainable strategies.
