Honda has unveiled an addition to America’s automotive landscape: the 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV, the nation’s inaugural production plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).

This compact CUV marks a significant milestone in Honda’s commitment to sustainable mobility, boasting a remarkable EPA driving range rating of 270 miles. The CR-V e:FCEV integrates an innovative U.S.-manufactured fuel cell system with plug-in charging capability, offering up to 29 miles of electric vehicle (EV) driving in urban settings while ensuring the convenience of rapid hydrogen refueling for extended journeys.

Honda’s introduction of the CR-V e:FCEV represents a bold leap forward in the automotive industry’s transition towards sustainable transportation solutions. As the first production plug-in hydrogen FCEV in the United States, the CR-V e:FCEV exemplifies Honda’s dedication to innovation and environmental stewardship.

At the heart of the CR-V e:FCEV lies an advanced fuel cell system meticulously crafted in the United States. This cutting-edge technology harnesses the power of hydrogen to generate electricity, powering the vehicle’s electric motor and providing an unparalleled driving experience characterized by zero emissions and remarkable efficiency.

With an EPA driving range rating of 270 miles, the CR-V e:FCEV redefines the boundaries of long-distance travel. The integration of plug-in charging capability extends the vehicle’s versatility, enabling up to 29 miles of EV driving in urban environments. This dual capability ensures that drivers can enjoy emission-free commuting while retaining the flexibility to embark on extended road trips with minimal environmental impact.

The CR-V e:FCEV’s eco-friendly design and performance pave the way for a greener automotive future. By leveraging hydrogen as a clean and abundant energy source, Honda aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change while offering consumers a compelling alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
