Howden has delivered three hydrogen compressors to Hypower for use in the world’s largest hydrogen refueling station (HRS), the Beijing Daxing HRS in China.

The refueling station received Howden’s hydrogen diaphragm compressor packages, and Howden’s strong brand reputation, high product quality, dependability, and technological strength in the hydrogen industry were critical to the contract’s success. The Daxing HRS can create 4.8 tonnes of hydrogen per day and refill up to 600 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, including large vehicles like trucks and buses. The Daxing HRS is located within the 200,000-square-meter Beijing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone.

The Howden team in China responded to a short lead time demand by collaborating closely with HyPower to provide the solution required to keep this critical HRS operational. Howden focuses on assisting customers in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of their air and gas handling processes, allowing them to make long-term environmental gains. Howden creates, manufactures, and sells products, solutions, and services to customers all over the world in a wide range of end markets and geographies.
