Glasgow-based Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) has just unveiled the X1.5, the United Kingdom’s inaugural full-sized hydrogen-powered Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) prototype. It’s not just a vehicle; it’s a beacon of hope for the environment and a testament to the power of hydrogen fuel-cell technology.

Heavy Goods Vehicles, despite making up just 1.5% of the vehicle population, are responsible for a staggering 19% of total emissions. It’s a concerning statistic, but the X1.5 is here to tip the scales in favor of the environment. These hydrogen-powered HGVs, including the X1.5, emit a mere 693ml of water per kilometer. This remarkable feat is achieved through the magic of hydrogen fuel-cell technology, where hydrogen is seamlessly converted into electricity. And the best part?
