A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by Hydrogen Europe, Hydrogen Europe Research, and EURAMET (the European Association of National Metrology Institutes) to promote cooperation for the mutual benefit of the associations and to support hydrogen research and technology that require metrological knowledge and information.
The forms of cooperation, according to the partners, are as follows:
- Exchange of information on requirements and skills in the hydrogen metrology field.
- The European Metrology Networks stakeholder council will now include representatives from Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe Research.
- Exchange of data on research being done in the hydrogen area by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (CHJU) and the European Partnership on Metrology (EPM), as well as the development of synergies that increase the effectiveness and impact of both research programs under the partnerships.
- Information sharing about financed research projects dealing with energy transition, energy gases, and/or climate issues.
Jorgo Chatimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe, said: “Today, we are cementing a collaboration that has already started for several years and we are very glad to strengthen it even more with this MoU between HE, HER, and Euramet. These cooperations are fundamental and showcase EU R&I synergies in action.”
