At the Port of Montreal, the Quebec Stevedoring Company Ltd. (QSL) has acquired new hydrogen-powered equipment as a green option to cut pollution.
Gaussin, a European company, produced the hydrogen-powered equipment prototypes.
Gaussin has designed and developed vehicles and equipment for port and logistics operations in collaboration with Charbone Hydrogen.
The new equipment was bought as part of the Montreal Port Authority’s endeavor to replace traditional fossil fuels with alternative lower-carbon fuels and hasten the energy transition.
