Hydrogen Solutions (Hyds), a business with headquarters in Stord, joins forces with GenH2, on the domestic production of liquid hydrogen.
At Stord and Egersund, Hyds is currently constructing small production facilities to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis.
Hydrogen requires a lot less storage space if it is converted to liquid. The American corporation will donate its technology for the liquefaction and storage of hydrogen.
According to Thor Henrik W. Hagen, director of Hyds, “the agreement is a very important milestone for Hyds’ commitment to locally produced, green hydrogen in maritime transport.”
In this situation, he claims that GenH2’s completely integrated solutions are a “game changer.”
According to Hagen, the technologies enable the production of liquid green hydrogen at affordable prices close to the consumers without the necessity of pricey and time-consuming transportation.
