Hygreen Energy, a leading electrolyzer manufacturer, has announced a strategic agreement with Coxabengoa, a vertically integrated water and energy utility. This partnership aims to advance hydrogen technology and expand production capabilities in Europe.

The agreement outlines various initiatives to collaborate on hydrogen generation across Europe. Central to these initiatives is the development of a European industrial platform to enhance hydrogen technologies. This platform will enable local production and supply of hydrogen production systems from Andalusia, Spain.

After over a year in development, the agreement is a significant milestone for both companies. It underscores Coxabengoa’s commitment to sustainable development through renewable energy, particularly focusing on green hydrogen. At the same time, the deal positions Hygreen Energy to rapidly boost its industrial capabilities within the European market, aiding its global expansion.

The partnership allows Hygreen Energy to expand its commercial influence and advance its innovations in hydrogen technologies. Javier Romero, Board Director at Hygreen Energy, stated, “The agreement between Hygreen Energy and Coxabengoa will significantly advance the hydrogen economy across Europe by leveraging both companies’ strengths to advance electrolyzer technology, expedite market adoption, and capture the rapid growth of green hydrogen.”

The agreement will leverage Coxabengoa’s expertise in producing and integrating components alongside Hygreen Energy’s deep knowledge of electrolyzer technology. This collaboration aims to offer the European market a competitive pathway to adopting electrolyzers and green hydrogen.
