Hynion, the leading supplier of hydrogen fuel in Scandinavia, has joined forces with H2X Global, the top manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Australia, to establish commercial fleets of hydrogen-powered vehicles and the necessary infrastructure to support them.

With Hynion’s extensive network of hydrogen refueling stations expanding, this collaboration is poised to make a significant impact on the market, as it accelerates the transition to zero-emission alternatives like hydrogen fuel.

According to the International Energy Agency, hydrogen could play a vital role in decarbonizing transportation, as well as other sectors like industry and power generation. Hydrogen is an energy carrier that can be produced from a variety of sources, including renewable energy, and when it is used in fuel cells, it generates electricity, producing only water and heat as byproducts. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have the potential to provide a range and refueling time comparable to traditional gasoline and diesel vehicles, while emitting only water vapor.

Hynion has already established itself as the top supplier of hydrogen fuel in Scandinavia, providing fuel to an increasing number of hydrogen-powered vehicles. In Sweden, the first commercial buses and trucks are already on the roads, using Hynion’s hydrogen stations in Gothenburg, Stockholm Arlanda, and Sandviken to refuel. H2X Global has won orders for several hydrogen commercial vehicles in Gothenburg, and with Hynion’s network of hydrogen refueling stations set to expand in the near future, the partnership is sure to have a major impact on the market.

“We are delighted to partner with H2X Global to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to zero-emission alternatives,” said Slavica Djuric, Hynion Deputy CEO. “Together, we are sure to more quickly achieve our business goals and support political ambitions for a cleaner future for transport.”

Peter Westh, Managing Director of the Swedish subsidiary H2X Gothenburg, added, “We are delighted to partner with Hynion, the most established supplier of hydrogen fuel in the Scandinavian market. This cooperative agreement will help us more effectively deploy our hydrogen-powered vehicles and make a real difference in the world.”

The collaboration between Hynion and H2X Global will improve market penetration and accelerate the transition to zero-emission alternatives, such as hydrogen fuel. With this partnership, the two companies aim to establish commercial fleets of hydrogen-powered vehicles and the necessary infrastructure to keep them running, leading to a cleaner and greener future for transportation.
