The station, which was part of Ruter’s recently completed bus project, will be relocated and restored so that it can be used in the future by hydrogen-powered private vehicles, taxis, and trucks.
At the same time, it would make the transition to hydrogen-powered taxis easier and have more refueling options for hydrogen vehicles.
The hydrogen station is currently located in Oppegrd at Mastemyr, and Hynion is in talks with the City of Oslo, among others, about a suitable location in the Oslo region. Hynion would have cost-effective access to hydrogen thanks to the station’s hydrogen production facility.
Norway’s first hydrogen truck charging station is now open to the public.
The H2 Trucks project, which includes Posten, Postnord, Schenker, and Coop, declared at the end of March that it aims to have 100 hydrogen trucks on Norwegian roads by 2025. The new Hynion station will be the first public station in Norway to be equipped with hydrogen truck filling stations.
