Hynion currently operates three hydrogen filling stations in Norway, in addition to the one in Gothenburg.
There will be two stations in Oslo, one in Porsgrunn, and a newly acquired bus filling station outside of Oslo that will be relocated and renovated to serve trucks, cars, and taxis. In Norway and Sweden, new stations are being planned.
Jimmy Pettersson was recently employed as an operations engineer by Hynion Sweden, and his first big task is to start up the hydrogen station on Ruskvädersgatan in Gothenburg. Woikoski, a Finnish gas firm, collaborated with PowerCell to construct the station in 2015. Since the filling station hasn’t been in use for a while, a thorough analysis and functional check of the station and its safety devices is needed.
Jimmy Pettersson has a lot of experience with power plants. Slavica Djuric, CEO of Hynion Sverige AB, says, “We are very pleased with the skills Jimmy brings to the business.”
In the short term, the most significant customer is Renova AB, which needs hydrogen for its fuel cell-powered renovation trucks. The trucks were designed by Renova in collaboration with Scania, JOAB, and PowerCell, and refueling is handled by Hynion Sweden.
Hans Zackrisson, Renova’s construction manager, who has worked on the company’s renovation vehicles for many years, is looking forward to bringing zero-emission renovation trucks to Gothenburg’s urban climate.
