Infinite Green Energy has chosen Technip Energies to carry out a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for their MEG-HP1 Early Production Facility, a 10MW green hydrogen production project in Northam, Western Australia.
The Northam Solar Farm, which Infinite Green Energy will purchase, is located around 100 kilometers east of Perth and will be used to power the MEG-HP1 Early Production Facility. The 25 hectares of the 10 MW Northam Solar Farm are covered with 33,600 solar panels (around 0.25 km2). With additional land secured for prospective growth, the Northam Solar Farm is already connected to the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).
The solar farm will be next to the 10 MW green hydrogen production facility, which can create up to 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day. The heavy transport industry is the primary market for hydrogen production offtake. In-depot refueling is targeted at back-to-base logistics providers and municipal governments.
