An ambitious partnership between Iverson eFuels and ECOnnect Energy is set to revolutionize the export of green ammonia, providing a game-changing solution that aligns with climate goals and underscores the potential of jettyless transfer systems.

Iverson eFuels, in collaboration with ECOnnect Energy, is poised to reshape the landscape of green ammonia export through a visionary venture that leverages cutting-edge technology and sustainable energy principles. This joint initiative marks a significant stride toward carbon-neutral maritime mobility and reinforces the growing role of green ammonia in the global energy transition.

The heart of the Iverson Ammonia Project beats with the goal of producing green ammonia on a large scale. Anchored in Norway’s Saudafjorden, this groundbreaking initiative hinges on the integration of advanced electrolysis and renewable electricity. The result? A promising source of carbon-neutral fuel and energy storage.

The Iverson project champions a holistic approach to sustainability, involving not just the technology but also active collaboration with local communities and national authorities. This partnership aims to shape a comprehensive value chain that propels green ammonia as an eco-friendly alternative energy source.

Central to this visionary partnership is ECOnnect Energy’s IQuay system – a groundbreaking technology that redefines transfer operations. IQuay, known for its historical jettyless LNG transfer success, has evolved to accommodate various applications. From upstream ammonia production to downstream fuel and carbon capture solutions, IQuay has set a new industry standard.

The IQuay system introduces unparalleled flexibility into the transfer process, capable of seamlessly managing LNG, ammonia, hydrogen, and CO2 transfers in the harshest offshore environments. Its adaptable design enables connection to Floating Storage Units (FSUs) or Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs), cementing its potential as an integral part of green energy infrastructure.

Morten Christophersen, CEO of ECOnnect Energy, expressed pride in being chosen as a contributor to Iverson eFuels’ significant project. The IQuay’s versatility aligns seamlessly with Iverson’s mission to create energy infrastructure that bridges green ammonia production and distribution.

Hege Økland, Managing Director of Iverson eFuels, shares the sentiment, emphasizing the value of a safe, efficient, and flexible transfer solution. The partnership with ECOnnect Energy opens doors to streamline ammonia loading onto ships and effectively distribute green ammonia across the market.

As green ammonia gains momentum as a cleaner, more sustainable energy source, the partnership between Iverson eFuels and ECOnnect Energy shines as a beacon of innovation. Their shared commitment to revolutionizing ammonia export through advanced technology and environmental stewardship sets a powerful precedent for the future of energy.

This collaboration promises to not only reshape ammonia export but also contribute to global decarbonization efforts. As the energy landscape evolves, the Iverson-ECOnnect partnership stands as a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
