Japan Petroleum Exploration (JAPEX) and Invest Alberta Corporation (IAC) have forged a partnership aimed at advancing projects in carbon capture and storage (CCS), carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), bioenergy with CCS, and blue hydrogen/ammonia areas.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between JAPEX and IAC signifies a commitment to supporting JAPEX’s business endeavors towards fostering an environmentally sustainable society in Alberta, Canada. Through collaborative efforts, the two entities seek to explore potential projects in the province, leveraging JAPEX’s extensive experience in petroleum exploration, production, and CCS/CCUS technologies.
With a wealth of experience in CCS demonstration projects in Japan and a robust portfolio of energy exploration and production (E&P) ventures globally, JAPEX is poised to make significant strides in advancing sustainable energy initiatives.
